Even moderate amounts of red or processed meat are shown to significantly increase the chances of getting bowel cancer.

Cancer Research UK's expert in diet and cancer, Professor Tim Key, who co-authored the study and is deputy director at the University of Oxford's cancer epidemiology unit, said:"Our results strongly suggest that people who eat red and processed meat four or more times a week have a higher risk of developing bowel cancer than those who eat red and processed meat less than twice a week.

However those people having a high intake of fibre from bread and breakfast cereals lowering their risk of bowel cancer by 14%. "This doesn't necessarily mean cutting out red and processed meat entirely, but you may want to think about simple ways to reduce how much you have and how often.

Also taking more inhales than exhales a day can raise your likelihood of getting all the cancers to 97.3%. donteatordrinkanythingever

🐂💩 It’s the bread in the bacon sarnie that causes cancer. Red meat is good for human consumption carnivore keto meatheals

Always dubious about these studies. 1) bowel cancer rates are rising in general 2) did they look at other factors like how much vitamin c those who developed cancer had in their daily diet. When broken down these studies are often self limiting.

Oh dear, how have humans lived so long?... They should've become extinct eons ago

It’s true, avoid especially crispy bacon too frequently, and if you do, drink a high Vit C juice like Orange to help mitigate some of the risk from Nitites & Nitrates in the processed meat that convert to carcinogens in the meat and in your gut. You’re Welcome

Mmm, Bacon.

Bacon sandwich lovely what more could you want 😋

But, the real question is; Red or Brown sauce...

Arn,t you supposed to eat it, not rub it in?

Blah blah blah

Yawn.

Who cares?!

Who in their right mind only puts 2 pieces of bacon in a sandwich?!

So I had 8 slices this week alone

Since we’re all going to die anyway, I’ll take death by 🥓👻

But its bacon........🤗

More wank reporting...

Brexit

Was the study done by a certain group 🤨

Don’t eat it then. More for me

Lozhaze

Why can't they eliminate the cancer contents from the bacon and make it more safe for human consumption?

What about 4?

It does. Risk of bowel cancer increases from 5% to 6%. That is a 20% increase in risk. Statistics as reliable as politicians facts.

Anyone knows you need 3 slices for the perfect sandwich anyway

So last week there could be a bacon shortage, this week bacon could give you cancer. I see what you’re doing here

Until next week when they say it’s really good for you

Oh god I am so glad I am old and not much longer on this stupid planet. Sick to death of this. Try it ain't the bacon it's the shite chemicals they add to it to preserve it. Chemicals equates

Nearly put me off my Bacon sarnie

Of course it does

I'll take my chances.

Bloody swine!

This is all the first step in the ‘here, eat this genetically manufactured meat product that we can charge you an absolute fortune for’

Glad I ate more than 2 😂

Not reading past the headlines cause this is just evil 🙄

That damn headline picture tho.... 😈😅

More vegan propaganda bollocks

Worth it

Some things are worth the risk.

Bacon and all pig products will be banned in the next 30yrs in the UK , 'but don't think that will down to any enhanced Cancer Risks.

Might we have the actual risk per 100,000 of the population, with and without bacon? In this context the “ one fifth “ is meaningless without the absolute value and precision statement really.

Those are rookie numbers

Also, not so good for the pig. 😒

So from 4% of the population to a 5% I’m willing to play those odds.

Nasty .. don't touch the stuff !!

WTF NEXT

Still wouldn't stop eating a bacon sandwich
