Veteran AFL caller Dwayne Russell has shared details of the incredible high-sugar food that he consumes during a game. Russell is a popular figure in the AFL industry and lit up Channel 7’s The Front Bar on Wednesday night with a lively and highly entertaining appearance.
Dwayne Russell spills on high-sugar game-day ritual. Russell was a star player for Port Adelaide — and once kicked seven goals in a night game against Hawthorn — in the days before Port joined the AFL in 1997. He eventually crossed the border and played for Geelong from 1987 to 1991 and featured in a star-studded forward line next to one of the game’s greatest in Gary Ablett Sr. Now, he’s a frontline commentator and works for radio station SEN and also on Fox Footy.
