Those who showed ‘sub-optimal’ response to cholesterol-lowering drugs also 22% more likely to develop heart disease

Around half of patients who are prescribed statins do not see their cholesterol drop to desired levels within two years, new research suggests.

My mum needed an operation on her hand after muscle wasting caused by statins. Father in law is on it and has become very frail. Insists on continuing despite me showing him evidence of it being detrimental.

And unfortunately increases the risk of Motor Neurone Disease, which my dad got and died from while he was on Statins 😪
