The senator raised the importance of easier access to health care even as he lauded the turnover of a Super Health Center in San Jose, Dinagat Islands on Friday.'It will help decongest the hospitals and will bring primary health care to island communities,' said Go, chairman of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography.He lauded the Department of Health and the local government of San Jose led by Mayor Yngwie Hero Ecleo and Vice Mayor Ruben Zuniega for the construction of the SHC.
He said the establishment of more SHCs nationwide will ensure that 'essential health care services will reach isolated and geographically challenged communities.'Go said he is committed to 'championing initiatives that bridge the health care gap and ensuring that every Filipino has proper access to quality medical care.'He said an SHC is a medium type of a polyclinic that offers birthing, dental, laboratory, and X-ray services, among others.
