Victorian taxpayers will foot a $1 million bill for a state Labor government ad campaign attacking the Morrison government just five weeks out from the election.
The Premier also indicated that he was planning more pain for the Coalition over its efforts in Victoria on transport infrastructure, which proved to be a hot-button issue with voters in last year's state election.But Mr Andrews rejected suggestions that he was using Victorian taxpayers' money to fund Mr Shorten’s drive to win power when the nation votes on May 18.
Victoria’s shadow treasurer Louise Staley said the state government spending on the ad campaign was "outrageous" and said she would complain to the Auditor-General's office about the spend.
