Morgan Spurlock, best known for his 2004 documentary Super Size Me, has died at the age of 53 after a battle with cancer, his brother Craig Spurlock has confirmed.

Morgan Spurlock, the director famed for his groundbreaking documentary Super Size Me, has died aged 53.

"Morgan gave so much through his art, ideas and generosity. Today the world has lost a true creative genius and a special man. I am so proud to have worked together with him." Super Size Me, released in 2004, not only garnered critical acclaim but also an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature. His 30-day McDonald's binge resulted in a weight gain of 24.5 pounds , a 13% body fat increase, and took a toll on his mental well-being, causing mood swings and sexual dysfunction.
