Prime Minister Scott Morrison is expected to draw the election battlelines on Friday around taxes, warning a Labor government would bring a $387b tax burden to the economy. Mr Morrison is expected to seize on Treasury costings, using the figures to outline the impact of Labor's plan to oppose to the Coalition's $230b in personal income tax cuts.
Along with Labor's proposal to reap an additional $157b in revenue from an overhaul on several tax instruments, including negative gearing and dividend changes. Labor leader Bill Shorten says his plan will lift wages and reduce inequality, as he sets up health funding and cutting the cost of cancer treatment as the primary focus of this second day of the campaign.
ScottMorrisonMP That’s because labour cares about poor Australians, they care about low and middle income earners more than they care about high income earners. Not like your his policies of always cutting funding and supporting the big end of town
ScottMorrisonMP And ofc sky news are happy to spruik his lies & not pull him up on them! We definitely need truth in media in this country, get rid of all the lies and corruption on our TV's!
ScottMorrisonMP He can draw a line around whatever he wants still not going to help his dysfunctional and internal fighting!
