Adam Henson, known from his role on Countryfile, shared that his wife Charlie penned farewell letters to their family, believing her life was about to end due to cancer. Describing the emotional impact of Charlie's pancreatic cancer diagnosis at 57, the farmer said "We cried a lot" The pair decided to get married shortly after Charlie received her shocking diagnosis, preceding a crucial surgery instead of going on a honeymoon.
Initially considered a potential farm infection, she underwent tests. Despite coming up negative, by May Charlie was suffering from severe diarrhoea and lost 10lb. Despite the imminent bad news, Charlie and Adam strived to move on over the next few weeks. However, during Adam's work trip filming in Scotland, his wife received devastating news, reports the Express.
"Before flying home, Adam called Charlie and was left "totally lost" by the news of her diagnosis. Shortly after, Gloucester Royal Hospital confirmed what they feared."
