Senate Republicans are eyeing a 'Medicare for All' vote to highlight Democratic splits

Senate Republicans, eager to exploit Democrats’ divisions on health care, want to put their legislative rivals on the spot by bringing Sen. Bernie Sanders’ “Medicare for All” bill to the floor for a vote.

“I think it deserves a full debate and a vote and see how many Democrats who are co-sponsors actually support it,” said Sen. John Barrasso , chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. “It ought to be called ‘Medicare for None,’” he said. “One hundred eighty million Americans would lose their private health insurance, that many of them have negotiated for at work. … You want to turn America into a socialist country? This is the first step.”

Republicans = Socialism for corporations & wealthy Democrats = Socialism for the people Liberals do things for others. Conservatives do things for themselves. Check the laws passed by this Republican Congress, mostly to benefit the 1%, again.

Sooo If ur belief, TELL PPL WHY? Or WHY NOT? Jim_Jordan senatemajldr POTUS MorningsMaria

Are you referring to the 'tactic' of putting up the insane blathering of lunatic Marxists for a vote so people can stand with or against it? In other words, the political process?

democrats, just don’t bring it to the floor. don’t give McConnell anything.

They want to kill this bill as well like slow death. Blame him

Health insurance 'employees negotiated at work for'? This is how out of touch the GOP is. We don't get to negotiate for health insurance at our job. We get what they offer or we get nothing. This is akin to not knowing how buying groceries work.

It’s not a tactic. It’s representative republic functionality

Great idea actually - worth planting a flag on this hill for those in favor of M4A. 2020 will thank you.

Simple. All Dems just vote 'present.' McConnell would never let M4A pass the Senate, so why play his stupid game?

senatemajldr I'm going to guess that after Democrats take back the Senate you will 'retire' so you don't have to deal with the chaos and evil misuse of your position to destroy America.

This from the guy who doesn't like to hold 'show votes.'

I remember during the shutdown, that someone who looked like a turtle refused to have political show votes. Ah well...hypocrisy is the new GOP standard.

Based on the NY Times article below, plagiarist Meredith McIver was as close to trump as Cohen, Hicks, Weisselberg, or Schiller, and we need to FINALLY hear from her. But if she’s another John Barron, then the entire press is guilty of EPIC malpractice.

Feds say they’ve busted a $1.2-billion Medicare scam that targeted seniorsThe Medicare scheme peddled unneeded orthopedic braces to hundreds of thousands of seniors via foreign call centers and billed the government healthcare program, authorities say. That's good. But does Health and Human Services really need a SWAT team? This happened to me. 3 different braces. I shipped them back. See? That's why we need everything privatized.
