WASHINGTON—A group of Senate Republicans is reviving legislation aimed at guaranteeing protections for people with pre-existing conditions, as the GOP attempts to blunt the political advantage Democrats may have on health care before the 2020 election.
The bill, which Sen. Thom Tillis and roughly a dozen other Senate Republicans plan to introduce Wednesday, would preserve key provisions of the Affordable Care Act, which the Trump administration has moved to strike down in court.

A simple bill to protect pre-existing conditions and allow shopping for health insurance across state lines could have been passed in place of the ACA years ago. But, nooo, Dems had to have their wet dream of govt controlled insurance instead.

The devil is in the details, heck i see them forcing insurance companies to offer insurance to folks with preexisting conditions at adjusted market rates. Making it technically true, but true like a dealership letting me buy a Ferrari at 10k a month.
