A woman pretended to be pregnant to trick ‘vulnerable’ people into giving her thousands of pounds.

Melissa Jones, prosecuting, said Webb approached Susan Devitt, who suffers from a form of Parkinson’s disease, at a bus stop in Cardiff as she sat on her walking frame.Webb told Mrs Devitt she was pregnant and needed money for a train home as well as cash for food and for rent. ‘As a direct result of this incident my mum has applied to take out a Lasting Power of Attorney so that the family can look after her money.’
