A city council is copping fierce criticism for not granting medical exemptions to patients whose cars have been towed during their appointments.

Hospital patients blast Melbourne City Council for refusing medical exemptions after their cars are towed: 'Where is any kind of empathy'

“Where I was parked was a clear away tow zone after 5pm and I got back to my car two minutes before five, and my car was already having the straps put on to be loaded onto the tow truck," she told 3AW’s Jacqui Felgate.
