Health ministry to regulate vape under drugs, poisons laws for now

The Health Ministry will regulate vapes and e-cigarettes under the Sale of Drugs Act and Poisons Act before the Tobacco Control Act is implemented. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, April 9, 2019.

THE Health Ministry will enforce the Sale of Drugs Act and Poisons Act on shops and businesses selling unregistered e-cigarettes and vape cartridge products containing nicotine, said the ministry today. Ministry enforcement officers will confiscate all products suspected of containing nicotine and test them, the ministry told The Malaysian Insight.
