Although 420 is long gone, medical marijuana is having a moment in San Antonio. Today, the Texas-based medical marijuana provider, goodblend, is hosting the grand opening of its brick-and-mortar pickup location on the far North Side. The shop at 18720 Stone Oak Parkway is marking the occasion by giving out free and discounted prescriptions to those who qualify under the Texas Compassionate Use Program.

Nico Richardson, the interim chief executive officer of Texas’ largest medical marijuana dispensary, told the Texas Tribune the program had registered around 45,000 patients as of last April.
