Two Australian tourists have sparked a measles alert for the Gold Coast and parts of NSW after returning home from the Philippines in March with the infection.

NSW Health has warned visitors to Gold Coast airport and residents in northern NSW to be on the lookout for symptoms of

measles. Record numbers of measles cases this year have prompted calls for tougher screening measures on tourists visiting Australia.
