Bennet has joined instead with Virginia Democratic Sen.

Why not? Mitt Romney was just elected senator despite his past history of prostate cancer, and Rudy Giuliani was treated for it a year before 9/11.
Remember when the left attacked McCain for his cancer ? The left kept asking about his health as president.
