PPI has so far been unable to extend its current lease at its Harrisburg location, and so must consider other site options, Penn State Health said.HARRISBURG, Pa. — Penn State Health announced it is exploring potential new locations for inpatient and outpatient services for the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute.

To date, PPI has been unable to extend its lease and so must consider other site options to ensure continuity of services for PPI’s patients, Penn State Health said. Work on a new site will need to begin by late summer this year. “Now and in the future, we are committed to providing access to the same high-quality behavioral health services for which Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute has long been known,” said Deborah Addo, president and chief operating officer of Penn State Health. “As we work toward making the decisions that are best for our community, we are guided by our mission to improve health and our vision to be Pennsylvania’s most trusted health care provider.
