The Ipsos poll was released ahead of the Newspoll results tonight. kennyonsunday

The latest Ipsos poll released on Sunday shows in the two-party preferred, the government has dropped by two percent to 47, with the Labor party at 53 per cent.

Sky News host Chris Kenny says premature talk about opinion polls changes behaviour, has too much focus on them and is ‘a cancer’ in the Australian political system. However, he says being so close to a federal election is when polling matters, as the public is focused on a real, imminent choice before them. Image: News Corp Australia

chriskkenny You been drinking your bath water again!

chriskkenny Can some tell Kenny that there is only one poll that matters, irrespective of what he and politicians think and that is when the PUBLIC VOTES.

chriskkenny So Murdoch has given Morrison the go ahead to visit GG tomorrow and call the election? Or are LNP going to keep sucking on the public purse to fund their propaganda?

chriskkenny The good news, Chris, is that all cancer treatments will soon be free.

chriskkenny You are a cancer Chris. Malignant too along with your after dark mates

chriskkenny You’re an Aussie version of Sarah Sanders aren’t you? AUPressSecKenny

chriskkenny Was Mr. Kenny talking about the 51/49 Ipsos prior (which looks like an outlier now)? Somehow, I suspect he wasn't hosing down talk about that - the hypocrite! Auspol

drkerrynphelps chriskkenny Just like your prediction of the Bictorian ALP whitewash hey Chris.. you got as much authority on poll predictions as a stone mate.

chriskkenny The same Chris Kenny who with the other RWNJs on sky all screamed that the liberals are back and labor is finished after a single 51/49 to Labor suddenly doesnt want to talk about polls now 😂😂😂😂😂😂

chriskkenny Woof your the biggest problem Libs have we labor people love your work

drkerrynphelps chriskkenny Chris is correct as always - one should always the consider the long-term trend. It is heartening that the kinds of arch-conservative reactionaries that Kenny favours are walking towards an absolute bloodbath per the trend.

chriskkenny The only poll that counts is on election day.

chriskkenny Dont Cry SCOOTER

chriskkenny You’re the gift that keeps on giving! 😂
