The Princess of Wales is currently undergoing treatment for cancer as husband Prince William has returned to work carrying out royal engagements in recent weeks

Prince William has told members of the public that his wife Kate Middleton is "doing well" as she continues her cancer treatment.

As he addressed the crowd, one person asked him: "Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are?"According to OK!, the Prince of Wales replied: "All doing well, thank you. Yes, we're doing well." His first outing saw him visit Surplus to Supper, a charity dedicated to redistrubing surplus food to those in need of it.

Touched by the gesture made by charity volunteer Rachel Candappa, William responded: "Thank you, you are very kind."
