Discovery Health to roll out AI-powered customised wellness

Discovery Health plans to launch personalised health pathways, underpinned by big data, machine learning and artificial intelligence , to help medical aid members plot individualised action plans to improve their health.

The new tech-driven Personal Health Pathways innovation is currently undergoing beta-phase testing but will be available to adult members of Discovery Health Medical Scheme early in the second half of 2024, likely during the third quarter. The individualised health pathways will combine the latest clinical research with the group's massive data sets, including behavioural inputs from its Vitality rewards scheme, along with new insights into how good habits can lead to better health, developed in collaboration with the London School of Economics.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
