An ITV News presenter is being treated after he "became unwell" on live TV. Viewers became concerned when Rageh Omaar appeared to be struggling with some words.

Now ITV has confirmed the presenter had taken ill. A spokesperson said: "We are aware that viewers are concerned about Rageh Omaar’s wellbeing. Rageh became unwell while presenting News at Ten on Friday and is now receiving medical care. ITV later removed the show from its scheduled re-runs on ITV+1. It was replaced with a message telling viewers that ITV were “temporarily unable to bring you our +1 service” adding “We will resume shortly."
