Charles’ health crisis comes at a difficult time for the British royal family, following Kate Middleton recently announcing that she was also diagnosed with cancer.

The statement added that Charles and Camilla will also host the Japanese Emperor Naruhito and his wife, Empress Masako, during their state visit to Britain in June. At the time, the palace said that Charles had “commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties”.
