60-year-old is now set to stand trial at Liverpool Crown Court later this year

The 60-year-old, originally from Toxteth, appeared in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court this morning, Tuesday, after being charged with 18 counts of failing to comply with a SCPO. These offences were allegedly committed following his release from prison in November 2022.

Warren - whose address has been given to the courts as a property in Boldon Colliery, Tyneside - was arrested by the National Crime Agency in the north east in July last year. He was subsequently charged in November 2023.READ MORE: Police thought they were dealing with a burglary until they saw inside room

The counts allege that he failed to notify the authorities of communication devices, bank accounts, credit cards, business interests and premises and of his application for a passport. Warren is also accused of breaching the order by having more than £1,000 in his possession and failing to declare sources of income.

Further supposed breaches also state that he failed to notify the authorities of his access to vehicles, of his travel arrangements while outside of the UK, that he was away from his home address for more than 24 hours and that he had changed his home address. Appearing in the dock wearing a navy blue Under Armour hoodie and black Nike tracksuit bottoms, Warren spoke to confirm his name before entering not guilty pleas to all 18 charges.

He is now due to stand trial over the course of two to three weeks, beginning on November 18. Warren, who was represented by Anthony Barraclough, will next appear before the court on August 27, and was released on conditional bail by the Honorary Recorder of Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary KC until this date.
