“It is my pleasure to announce to the people of Ebonyi state that the federal ministry of health has approved the request by Alex Ekwueme University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi state to have the federal teaching hospital Abakaliki, FETHA, as its teaching Hospital. “with this formal announcement, may I seize this opportunity to thank the Board, Chief Medical Director, management team and staff of Alex Ekwueme University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki for their team work, support and cooperation to the Board which helped immensely in the success recorded in the hospital. ”

Also, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Emeka Ogah appreciated the federal government for changing the name FETHA as it will boost the potentiality of the hospital in no distant time. Ends
