FSIS said they are issuing the alert to make sure consumers are aware that the products should not be consumed.

USDA issues public health alert for ground beef over possible E. coli threat for certain ground beef products produced in March and possibly contaminated with E. coli.

The raw ground beef products were produced on March 28, 2024, have a Use/Freeze by date of April 22, 2024, and a packaging date of "032824."while conducting an inventory of product that was on hold because it was found positive for E. coli. So far, there have been no confirmed reports of illness due to consumption of the product. Anyone concerned about an illness should contact a healthcare provider.

This condition is most common in children under the age of five and symptoms include easy bruising, pallor, and decreased urination.
