Deputy Health Minister Dr Lee Boon Chai says these are not an organised group.

The government encourages parents to vaccinate their children although it says it will not impose mandatory vaccination.

He said his ministry is using social media to spread awareness of the importance of vaccinating children from birth. To Mustapa Mohamed , who asked if there is any move to make vaccines mandatory, Lee said the matter is under review. He said those below the age of five risk being infected if parents refuse to vaccinate their children.
