– Newsweek’s Global Editor-in-Chief Nancy Cooper today announced that noted journalist Hank Gilman has been named to the newly created role of Editorial Director. Working on both online and print content, he will be reporting directly to Cooper.

“Hank has an unparalleled track record in writing and editing for world-class media outlets,” said Cooper. “He's a terrific story editor and a newsroom leader, and he'll be invaluable to our journalists as a resource and guidepost. We're delighted to have him on board.” In tandem, Cooper also announced that Melissa Jewsbury has been promoted to Managing Editor. She previously served as the news organization’s Production Director.
