Newly released body camera footage shows a man dying in police custody at a Texas hospital after yelling 'I can't breathe' and screaming for water. The man, Kenneth Knotts, was handcuffed and placed facedown on a bed by multiple officers during a mental health evaluation. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead.

He added that Knotts should have been placed in the recovery position -- or on his side -- which he said would not have impacted Knotts' ability to breathe. Around 11 a.m., officers with the Medical Center "responded to some kind of disturbance" and Knotts ran from the facility, according to the complaint. Documents shows he was then taken back to the hospital, where he later died.

"He's fully restrained," Henley said, adding that Knotts complains he's thirsty, but no one gets him a drink. Henley said Knotts' chest was being pressed against the bed and his stomach was lodged in the corner of the bed, preventing him from breathing.
