There is a growing pay gap for many workers in community health sector and there is a call for government to to improve the wages

Nurse practitioners in Sudbury have endorsed the position of the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario that the recent Ontario budget missed an opportunity to take further steps to address the staffing crisis facing Ontario’s community health sector.

"Despite the rising cost of living, the community health sector is more than $2 billion behind on wages compared to their peers doing similar work in other sectors," said the statement.
