The professor shared what he eats first thing in the morning.

Hailing it as a breakfast which is great for your gut health, the professor of genetic epidemiology at King's College London and author of Food for Life, says that it is his "favourite way to use kefir."

Talking about his meal he says: "It's quick, easy and packed with plants and probiotics for his gut health". It consists of a simple mix of yogurt, kefir, berries and as many nuts and seeds as he can manage from his "diversity jar to get me to my 30 plant goal." In addition to Food for Life: Your Guide to the New Science of Eating Well, Prof Spector has also penned other books including Spoon-Fed: Why almost everything we’ve been told about food is wrong as well as a new book which you can order here.
