Kathy Allan's health has rapidly deteriorated whilst she waits for a life-saving op to fix a hiatus hernia.

An Ayrshire gran says she's started to plan her own funeral after health chiefs admitted they don’t know when they can carry out a life-saving op.

Kathy now weighs a tiny seven-and-a-half stone, after dropping 12 dress sizes from a size 20 to a size eight. Ayrshire Live previously told how top brass were struggling to find a replacement for the absent surgeon who specialises in bariatrics procedures. A shattered Kathy told Ayrshire Live: “I’ve been waiting two weeks for a response but when I read that letter I just broke down in tears.“I’ve suffered two falls, I’m so tired and I’m in constant pain, my bones are so sore.
