Melbourne mother Joanne Perry called emergency services out of concern her daughter's mental health was deteriorating the day before her daughter, Carly Pirronelli, stabbed her to death.A brief of evidence in the coronial inquest now underway is due to be handed up in July.
However, they were unable to say how many shots were fired, at what range or where they struck Ms Pirronelli. That neighbour called the police when she looked over the fence and saw the younger woman kicking and spraying her mother with aerosol about 30 minutes later. The court also heard Ms Pirronelli had at least one engagement with the mental health system and several with police in the lead-up to her death.
Then, on March 7, police attended Ms Perry's address after she requested an ambulance because she "perceived her daughter's mental health was deteriorating".
