More than 1 million people aged over 65 without children are “dangerously unsupported”, and at acute risk of isolation, loneliness, poor health, poverty and being unable to access formal care, according to a report.

HumanlyAwkward Hhhmmm. 37 childless, not planning on having any. Just need to get a clean way to end my contract if I ever get to 65. Wholesome, helpful kids are not a guarantee. Parental neglect is real
As the population ages and more pressure is put on the working age poor to work, having children will be no guarantee of care as you age. In addition will our economy be even able to maintain the current funding for social care, nevermind the increased funding called for.
Sad to see the conservatives turn this into a right/left thing. As boomers age, this problem will get even worse.
Think how many triggered left wing trannies will suffer
Reality begs to differ however and is obviously a tough pill for many to swallow.
I can't think of anything more sad than seeing old people in a care home - as I did quite recently - who look like they've just been dumped there, with hardly any visitors. The hopeful, desperate smiles when you pass them and acknowledge them are quite heart-breaking.
People entering their second childhood are really only adult babies.
And the liberals want more people to be like this. Having children is the natural cycle of life. There truly is no other purpose, regardless of how many people would have you believe that your life is about pleasure and self indulgence.
