Doctors in southeastern China have performed surgery to remove 70 magnetic balls from an 11-year-old boy after he inserted them into his penis out of curiosity.
“The balls stick to each other and it’s difficult to remove them as a whole lump, so at the beginning we could only pick up two or three at a time,” Tao Chang, a surgeon at the hospital, was quoted as saying. Magnetic balls are popular among children and a pack of about 200 can be bought online for under US$10.
