Mozambique: Health Workers Threaten to Resume Strike As of Thursday

Maputo — The Association of United Mozambican Health Professionals has threatened to resume its nationwide strike as of Thursday supposedly because the Health Ministry , has failed to fulfill promises made in the negotiations.

"While we had hoped for some improvement, the situation in the health units is worse than before', Muchave added. "There is also a shortage of laboratory reagents, fuel for ambulances, food for patients, and hospital linen', Muchave added."There is also an increase in the number of health units that are deprived of electricity, as a result of cuts made by the publicly-owned electricity company, EDM'.There was a problem processing your submission.
