A British broadcaster has slammed pundits and social media “vultures” for “bullying” Princess Catherine before she revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer.

UK broadcaster Esther Krakue has unleashed on the “vultures” and “hypocrites” who theorised and bullied Princess Catherine as she recovered from surgery and a cancer diagnosis.

“They didn’t think about having a conscience when they were basically bullying a woman in her early 40s, they knew who had a significant medical intervention, and even if it hadn’t turned out to be cancer, deserved to have her privacy like she asked for, to rest and to prioritise herself and her family,” Krakue said.

“You had people like BBC reporter Sonja McLaughlan who complained she was the target of trolls on Twitter, and yet, was one of the people who led the conspiracy theory against Kate, that she wasn’t even seen at that shop in Windsor.” In her video statement released on Friday, Princess Catherine said her operation had been successful, but cancer cells had been found by surgeons.

“Living in a glass fishbowl, that many of us wouldn’t choose to live in, and yet somehow her greatest crime was to ask for privacy while she recovers from surgery, and now, unfortunately, it turns out she’s undergoing chemotherapy,” Krakue said.
