The jury in San Francisco awarded compensatory damages at $5.27 million and punitive damages of $75 million to the plaintiff, Edwin Hardeman. During the first phase of the trial, the jury dealt a blow to Monsanto last week, saying Roundup was a substantial factor in causing Hardeman's non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Edwin Hardeman claims Roundup caused his cancer. A federal jury in San Francisco sided with him.The second phase focused on the question whether Monsanto is liable.
The plaintiffs are suing Monsanto, claiming the product gave them non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The verdict in Hardeman's case may influence other cases. Last August, in the first state trial over whether Roundup can cause cancer, California jurors awarded former school groundskeeper Dewayne Johnson $289 million in punitive and compensatory damages.Glyphosate increases cancer risk by 41%, study saysA judge later reduced the total award to $78 million.

The very first visit at M D Anderson in November 2015 the Oncologist asked if I had been exposed to Roundup. I had Diffuse large B cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I'm in remission and we don't use it for anything in our yard.
I started using plain old vinegar in a spray bottle to kill weeds. It works wonderfully but doesn’t last as long at the round up but I’m DONE with roundup!

Good! The data is overwhelming. R-Up causes NH Lymphoma. Ex: Iowa. When R-Up ready seeds introduced in ‘96, (allowing farmers to spray indiscriminately w/R-Up & everything dies except the crop) Iowa was 22nd in NHL deaths. By ‘06, Iowa was 1 in NHL deaths. Top 3 ever since!
