Analysis: Trump faces many obstacles if he’s serious about trying to make Republicans 'the party of health care'

-- In the wake of Bill Barr’s summary of Bob Mueller’s findings, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff maintains that he’s seen evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. “Undoubtedly there is collusion,” Schiff said in an interview with The Washington Post.

-- Conservative lawyer George Conway, who is married to White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, writes an op-ed for The Post demanding that the American public see Mueller’s full report and making the case that Trump is unfit for the presidency regardless of what it says.: “Barr’s letter revealed something unexpected about the obstruction issue: that Mueller said his ‘report does not conclude that the President committed a crime’ but that ‘it also does not exonerate him.

-- Trump’s lawyers were much more worried that Mueller would accuse him of obstruction of justice than collusion with the Russian government.: Martin and Jane Raskin “worked in coordination with constitutional lawyer Jay Sekulow, who led the Trump legal team. The Raskins dealt directly with Mueller's office ... And by the time they arrived, Mueller's prosecutors rarely asked probing questions about Russia.

“It hit me hard financially and led to baseless personal attacks,” Akhmetshin said in a statement. “As a result, my ability to earn a living has been impaired, my professional standing has been undermined and my personal relationships have suffered.” -- Rep. Ben Ray Luján , the No. 4 Democrat in the House, is expected to jump into New Mexico’s Senate race now that Sen. Tom Udall has announced he’ll retire, even though it would cost him the chance to replace Nancy Pelosi as speaker. : “While Luján hasn’t decided, he is heavily leaning toward jumping into the race to replace Udall, according to multiple Democratic lawmakers and aides familiar with Luján’s thinking.

DeVos responded that she was forced to make difficult decisions to control spending, but appeared to be realistic about her chances. ... Overall, the budget plan cuts more than $8.5 billion, about 12 percent, from the Education Department. Programs that would face cuts include one that supports after-school activities for children in impoverished communities, as well as a grant program for textbooks, equipment, counseling services and other needs for schools.

Actually giving a f*ck about average people having healthcare is the biggest GOP obstacle. 🙄

Fools! GOP

Serious question: does anyone know what the GOP plan is?

That obstacle is called the lying liberal press.

Is there a reason you dislike it? Oh I get it. Partisan bias from WP.

Look at those scum three bags.

At this point, news of this potus and the world in general is so bad, the devastation of climate change is becoming the good news. Humans collectively act to be consistently undeserving of the earth. The good of the many is failing to counter vast apathy, ignorance, and enabling.

Trump is absolutely clueless. He just likes blurt out grandiose nonsense. The republicans hide their devious agenda behind these silly declarations. Why don’t Trump supporters who are not rich catch on.

He’s not serious about anything except to try to enrich his own coffers and to destroy anything related to an Obama accomplishment. He has no clue how to come up with any healthcare plan.

Wait, he already tried & failed. A rerun?

Have listened to republucans say they have a better health plan than the affordabke care act. Returning to the staus quo in which people die because they cant get good quality heakth care us not a plan. Placing insurance companies in charge of healthcare us not a plan.what is?

So far, he’s made them the party of evil and greed.

RoyBlunt nice work, Roy. Missourians will be grateful, I'm sure. And while you're at it, be sure MORE Missouri farms get sold off to China, just like in Iowa. Go ahead, get rid of the regulations that limit size of hog farms, etc. & run farmers off their land. healthcare

I do not trust these republicans with my healthcare. They just killed Special Olympics! That takes a cold heart (colder than Paul Ryan)

He has no plan, he's wants Obama care gone. F-what the people want. I want what I want.

He’s not serious. Cmon already. He just loves to hear himself talk. This man contradicts himself constantly in the same speech within minutes. The only thing he’s serious about is himself. Narcissist
