The brother of Catherine, Princess of Wales has shared a heart-wrenching tribute following the royal’s shock cancer announcement. In a video statement released on Friday local time, Kate said she was undergoing chemotherapy after she was diagnosed with cancer following her “major” abdominal surgery. After weeks of speculation surrounded Kate’s absence from royal duties, the 42-year-old said tests after the surgery found cancer had been present.
Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton also shared a photo on Instagram with Kate from their younger years. Sitting in the back of a car, Kate throws her head back laughing while wearing a teal-coloured top with sequins. The photo was taken following a Day-Glo Midnight Roller Disco in 2008, which raised money for Tom’s Ward at Oxford Children’s Hospital. “Sending love and prayers,” Pippa wrote alongside the photo with a heart emoji.
