Former Australian cricketer and Sri Lanka coach Bruce Yardley dies age 71Bruce Yardley, who was Australia's first choice spinner in the 1980s and went on to be one of the biggest influences on Sri Lankan spin king Muttiah Muralitharan, dies at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer. Very sad news! A great Australian Cricketer! May he Rest In Peace! A bit young-I remember his long stance coming up to the crease: he cast a shadow over every batman he interrupted. A quite magnificent cricketer.
