Paige Dent's father is making a submission to the mental health royal commission in the hope no other family will have to go through what his has.

The day before Paige Dent died in a fiery car crash she was curled up on a couch underneath a window in the back room of her father’s house, the afternoon sun falling on her face.

"We thought she'd be safest in hospital because she was too vulnerable to be in the community," he said. Mr Dent is making a submission to Victoria's mental health royal commission in the hope that no other family will have to go through what his has.A young Paige Dent, in happier times.
