Zoe Ball returned to her Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Monday morning after taking a week off work to care for her mother who was recently diagnosed with cancer 'I've met some lovely people after going in and out of hospitals for the past few weeks. Many of you have been telling me your own stories about loved ones and your own cancer stories so thank you for sharing. Those messages have meant so much, I've been reading them out to my my mum.'
In an emotional Instagram post, the Radio DJ, 53, said she and her family were going through 'tough times' amid the diagnosis but praised her for being 'brave'. Advertisement Alongside the post, she wrote: 'Heartbreakingly our beautiful Mama Julia has been diagnosed with Cancer. 'Sending out love to people reading this who are battling cancer, or awaiting diagnosis & also to the folk looking after their dear ones who are poorly.'
