Estimated 7 million diabetic Malaysians by 2025, says minister

SOME seven million adults in Malaysia, both diagnosed and undiagnosed, are estimated to be affected by diabetes by 2025, making up 31.3 per cent of adults aged 18 years and above. Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said currently, some 3.6 million Malaysians are suffering from the disease, the highest rate of incidence in Asia and one of the highest in the world.
