The candidate will be the primary scientist to evaluate mitochondria pathways associated with treatment resistance. This project will focus on the epigenetic and mitochondrial mechanisms that prevent response to immunotherapy or chemotherapy. The project will require in vivo assessment in mouse models including already developed patient-derived xenografts .Analyzes metabolomics with the knowledge basis to interact and work with the core facilities at BCM.
Performs basic molecular biology and cell culture techniques with the ability to teach these techniques to fellows and students. Performs techniques mutation detection, gene expression profiling, chromatin immunoprecipitation, DNA/RNA-protein interactions cell culture, lentiviral transductions, and transcriptomic analysis.
Assists with direct tumor collection from the operating room as required based on the specific project.Dynamic bcl-2 homology domain profiling of solid tumors , however, we can teach this technique.
