Engine-room blast in Penang waters kills Indonesian

AN Indonesian fisherman was killed in an engine-room explosion in waters off George Town today.

Firman Amirudin, 23, died at the scene, while Ibrahim Ismail, 59, and Sopian Mohamad, 42, also Indonesians, were rescued by the Johor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency’s KM Satria patrol vessel.
