Every March, a month-long fire prevention campaign is observed in the Philippines.

In a report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, Fire Senior Inspector Gabriel Solano said that the campaign's objective is to deliver awareness to the public.According to the data gathered by the Bureau of Fire Protection, there have been 3,441 fire cases in the country from January 1 to March 6.

"Pina-prioritize ng Bureau of Fire Protection is 'yung tinatawag nating good housekeeping practice. Diyan po natin makikita 'yung mga bagay na alam nating depektibo na pala, octopus connection," Solano said. "Alamin ang pinakamalapit na fire station, alamin ang kanilang numero."Dr. Hector Santos shared some first-aid advice in cases of accidents."'Yung first degree burns, kailangan na hugasan nang maigi tapos balutan at para di matuklap.
