Ireland AM presenters Muireann O'Connell, Tommy Bowe and Alan Hughes fondly remembered chef Joe Shannon on Tuesday morning's show.Tributes have since flooded in for the much loved Sligo native, who is being remembered for his warm personality and infectious laugh.

Muireann said: "He always made people laugh and his kindness shone through every single time he was in the studio. Every time he met anyone around the country he chatted with them, he was so good with his time, he was fabulous. "In the world nowadays, all you ever see is bad news and it is just all consuming and somebody like Joe, with his personality, he was able to come into a room and light up the studio. We need more Joe Shannons in the world," Tommy replied.
