The veteran Irish journalist and broadcaster, Charlie, has reiterated a call to his followers to continue to support his wife Claire and dog Tiger after his death. Charlie was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2021 and later climbed Croagh Patrick to raise money for Pieta and the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. He has seen a further deterioration in his health and now requires assistance to get in and out of bed.
Charlie expressed his gratitude to his neighbors and carers and mentioned his participation in the Stardust relatives' event. He also made a direct appeal to his supporters to continue the work of extending friendship and supporting the charities he is involved with after his passing
