BC FerriesSailings on the Queen of Cowichan between Horseshoe Bay and Departure Bay have been delayed by over two hours due to a medical emergency on board., BC Ferries says the 8:25 a.m. sailing had left Horseshoe Bay, then required to return due to a customer having a medical emergency.BC Ferries advises customers with reservations to show up for the time of the sailing as scheduled to maintain reserved status to ensure your vehicle is properly placed in the reserved lane.

“Your patience is appreciated and we apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result of this delay. We wish our fellow passenger a speedy recovery,” BC Ferries says.due to unloading multiple vessels at the same terminal at once.Sign up for the CHEK Now daily email newsletter to get breaking news and the day's top stories sent to your email.The BC Ferries website says the 10:40 a.m. sailing left 30 minutes behind schedule.

The Queen of Coquitlam is the third vessel that is scheduled to operate on this route starting at 6:35 p.m. As of noon BC Ferries did not indicate it anticipated there would be delays on the third ferry.
