FG Vows To Improve Primary Health Care Delivery In Nigeria.

Updated March 22, 2019The Federal Government has vowed to improve primary healthcare delivery for Nigerians, in a bid to make it easily accessible across the country.

“We have resolved to do everything possible to ensure that Nigerians access primary healthcare in a way that confers on them compassion, integrity, and dignity from all primary health workers,” he said.In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of Enugu State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Hillary Agbo told journalists that the summit was necessary to improve on primary health care in an accountable and transparent manner.

Similarly, the host and Executive secretary of Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Mohammed Adis, said participants were ready to achieve the nation’s dream of universal health coverage.

By this I believe the FGN is saying it will deepen medical care for the poorest of the poor in our rural communities, seeing that the Local Governments have failed in their responsibilities.

That is the responsibility of the local government not federal govt. They should give autonomy to them and ease the federal govt the burden.
